Tag from Suraya

Directions: Once you’ve been tagged, you have to write a blog or a note on Facebook with sixteen random things, facts, habits or goals about you. At the end choose ten people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don’t forget to leave them a comment (”you’re it”) and to read your blog. You can’t tag the person who tagged you. Since you can’t tag me, let me know when you’ve posted your blog/note, so I can see your weirdness.

  1. I like different things from different eras. I like the 50's and 60's muscle cars and I like 80's rock songs. But most of all, the 21st century has been the most rewarding. Mainly because it is because this is when I have grown up the most in terms of maturity and preference.

  2. I can drawl. i.e. like how the cowboys talk.

  3. I am partly a socialite. I have a tight-knit group of very good -- and very few -- friends and countless acquaintances. But of course, at the center of my entire universe, is her.

  4. I am witty and a romantic. I can come up with ideas on what to do for her in under a minute. It's a little unnerving sometimes how quick I am at it.

  5. I have sharp ears, a witty mind, a sharp tongue and blunt responses. Not a pleasant combo.

  6. I enjoy messing with people's psyches and playing mind games. I do not have the time nor the means to set up elaborate mind games so they're relatively primitive.

  7. I like the color orange.

  8. I have an extremely eclectic taste in music and can take virtually any genre.

  9. I'm ready to try almost anything outdoors; I've abseiled, kayaked, cycled down a flight of stairs, participated in jogathons, I swim, free hand climbing, hiking, camped, target practice with a paintball gun, played golf, rugby, mountain biked, marched (kawad kaki), etc.

  10. I would be devastated without her.

  11. I love knowledge. My favorite channels are the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel & the History Channel. I know, BORING. But that's who I am.

  12. I also love to read. I could read endless books and not feel tired. But I have only one regret with this, I would be neglecting my girl and I don't like that.

  13. I don't like be stereotyped. I don't mind being categorized, just not stereotyped. I hate it.

  14. I simply do not understand people who put chilli sauce on their burgers and pizzas. It turns my insides out. Sorry to those of my readers who do this. No offence was intended.

  15. I am more at home with western food than eastern food. Don't ask me why, I just am.

Tagged; You have been tagged because you are my closest ring of friends (who have blogs) and whom i have every inch of trust to be honest, and great people.

Weii Syuen

Jeez. It's been a while since I last published a post. My body's sore at the shoulders, legs and just under the ribs. Rugby practice. Yeeha. But I'm not complaining. I love it. The fitness, the team work, everything. Happy CNY to all my Chinese friends. May you have a prosperous year.

I really miss her. Miss her like crazy. I know, it's probably revolting that you're reading this but hey, when you're head over heels like this, it's not exactly easy to let go. Scratch that; it's IMPOSSIBLE to let go.

Valentine's is just around the corner. It bugs me I can't get her much. Though she's never expected much, I still feel bad. Guess I'll just have to make my current plans a bit more theatrical and such. Shouldn't be too hard. Wonder how much does a single rose cost... Unfortunately, I can't get one without being noticed. Damn. Ah well, gotta keep working at it eh?

Um... sorry about the little monologue up there. Just getting it off my chest. Still haven't done that tag Suraya gave me. Guess I'll publish it right after this.

Anyway, I'm already used to the contacts. Except that my current towel keeps leaving lint of my fingers. It's frustrating. But otherwise, everything is smooth. My parents are considering moving me to APIIT if everyone else who got 8A's is going. I really hate to move but... it IS a private school... I don't know... *Sigh*. I just hope that Liyana gets accepted to Seri Puteri. It would make the transition to APIIT easier. Aargh. Who am I kidding? It's gonna hurt like hell either way.

That's all for this post.

Au revoir.

2nd Week of School

It's been a while since I last publised a post. Form 4 has been good so far. I've been settling in and adjusting to the rhythm of the classes. Tomorrow is the the first RoadRun practice for '09. Today there was a class re-shuffle. It was OK. Except that our class popp. exceeded 50. WTF?! 4 Eps only has 48. But at least our class is livelier. Yaay! That's all for now.

Au revoir

Form 4

Form 4 is actually quite cool. Bio rocks! I'm considering EST -- English for Science & Technology. It's supposed to be an easy 'A'. We were supposed to do streaming today but apparently not. Slow school... Anyway, school so far has been good. The canteen sucks though. Nothing to eat. At least nothing caught my attention. Remind me to try out the nasi goreng or wtv they're selling that doesn't look contaminated.

Anyway, I'm thinking of being more active in co-curriculum. For sports, I'm picking up Rugby. I know I'm not built or anything but I want t0 give it a shot. Maybe I'll end up the runner or something. I'm resuming Kadet Bomba again. Oh oh oh, and ELS -- English Language Society. I know, Why that? Why not something new? Well, Bomba & Rugby are both tiring so I want something I can do in my sleep.

I guess that's all for now. I'm supposed to tone down on bloggging. Hehe.

Later. Au revoir.

1st Day of School '09

The first day of school was... eventful. Most of the morning was spent shuffling classes. But we're probably going to end up reshuffling -- again -- because we haven't been streamed yet. Aargh. All this trouble because some government officer did a surprise pop-in. *Sigh*. But I'm definitely going for Pure Science. I think I prefer being in 4 Beta compared to 4 Epsilon. It seems... livelier. But mashing Alpharians and Lambdarians isn't exactly a match made in heaven. Especially given our 'rivalry', being the two top classes and all. But I think sooner or later, we'll learn to be one big family -- just like every other year.

After the assembly, we were initially arranged according to our old class. Then we were slowly but surely shuffled. I ended up in 4 Beta. Liyana, Farah & Lyn ended up there too. I was fine with it. The way I see it, less peer pressure to succeed. I hope. Anyway, there were those like Hsiang & Mikhail who were taking it lightly. They were laughing and joking and it looked like they were happy. Lyn was in tears it seemed. She wasn't pleased at all. Farah was slightly discontent but at least looked like she was dealing with it. Liyana... she seemed like she was weighing the pros and cons. Sofea in particular isn't happy. Since Liyana & I get the same class -- again -- while she stayed in 4 Epsilon. 4 Beta & 4 Epsilon are the same level; like Alpha and Lambda previously. Though us Alpharians didn't want to admit that. Hehe.

We got our schedules but ironically enough, we haven't been streamed so there might be those who want to go into Commerce but end up -- temporarily -- taking up Pure Science subjects. Oh, and on Wednesday, 4 Beta goes home at 2:30. T-T. I'm not sure about the other classes but according to Pn. Suhaila, every class will go home at 2:30 on one of the days but which day that is varies from class to class.

I need exercise books. I haven't bought any. Hehe.

Anyway, that's all for now. Au revoir.

The Nightlings (Pt. 7)

"But why is he after me? And I need to know more about my powers mom. You said there are limits so what are they? And is there some kind of code I must abide by or something?" Maya asked; wanting to know more.

"Tomorrow, Maya, I promise. First, all of us need to get some sleep," and Jonathan showed Aaron and Maya to their respective sleeping quarters. To Maya’s relief, she had her sleeping quarter all to herself. After a long, hot shower, she climbed into bed and tried to go to sleep. She spent most of the night tossing on her bed, unable to make much sense out of what she was just told. Why was this vampire after her? What were the limits her mom had told her about? In the end, Maya fell into a fitful sleep.

It felt as though Maya had just put her head down when she was awakened. Opening her eyes, she saw Anna staring over her; her black hair falling over Maya’s face.

"Wake up, Maya. We need to get you some new clothes. So that Jean’s men won’t recognize you. Sitting up, Maya was so groggy she tried to lie back down only to have Anna grab her arm. It immediately jolted Maya awake. It was ice cold.

"Why is your hand ice cold?" Maya asked.

"Aaron didn’t tell you?" Anna started.

"Of course I didn’t," they suddenly heard Aaron’s voice by the doorway, sending both girls jumping with shock. Neither of them had heard the door open.

"And when exactly were you planning that?" Anna asked, hands on her hips; obviously not pleased with Aaron’s poor choice in timing.

"You know well enough I’m not the one to do the explaining," Aaron mused.

"Fine but I’m still taking Maya out for clothes. We need to throw Jean’s hounds off her scent. Take a shower then meet me in the garage. There’s a hoody and a pair of jeans in the drawer," and Anna left the room with Aaron following suit before Maya could ask him what he had evaded the previous night.

After getting dressed, Maya headed for the garage. As she stepped in, Luther threw a wrench at her and just as Maya recoiled to shield herself, the wrench hung in mid-flight. Maya slowly brought her arms down and stared at it. Then she focused on it. The wrench spun around and shot back at Luther. He caught it and crossed his arms, looking slightly towards Maya’s left.
"Told you she was gifted," he spoke.

Turning towards where Luther gazed, a girl stepped out of the shadows. She was dressed in a tank top, cargos and combat boots. She had a grease streak under her left eye and wore a bandana around her dirty blonde hair.

"Maya, Sara. Sara, Maya," Luther introduced.

"Hi. You’re the other girl that sat at the table with Aaron right? Besides Anna I mean,"

"Yes, I am,"

"You look so different when you’re in school. Not as… brutal," Maya finished. Sara merely chuckled.

"I get that a lot from Luther and the rest,"

"Anna said to meet me in the garage. Any idea where she is?" enquired Maya.

"I’m here Maya," drifted Anna’s voice from the doorway, "come on and let’s go shopping. You interested Sara?" Anna asked, turning to her.

"Um… thanks but no thanks. I’ll stay here with Luther and she grabbed one of his massive arms, hugging it.

"Um... Anna, if you haven't noticed, we don't have any form of transportation out of here and I doubt my dad's gonna let us out through the front door," Maya reminded Anna.

"Sure we do. Luther, where's the car?" Anna asked, turning to Luther.

"Fourth garage door to the left. Enjoy, girls," and Luther turned back to the Jeep he was working on before Maya stepped in.

Opening the garage door, Maya first saw a pair of mean eyes and then a brilliant glossy black hood stretching up before her. On the lip of the hood, a pair of wings with the words 'Aston Martin' emblazoned on it. It was a beautifully crafted car. Walking towards the back, the model name was badged in chrome. It was an Aston Martin DB9. It was a simple but captivating design. Climbing in, Maya settled into a comfy leather seat. Everything was powered. Anna then climbed in and started engine. Revving it a bit, she then shot the car out of the garage. Maya was gripping her seat and screaming,

"Anna! Slow down! You're going to hit the wall!"

But miraculously, they didn't. Anna swerved with a precision inhumanly possible with flawless timing. As they climbed out of the garage, Maya eased her grip on the seat but kept her hands there; terrified should Anna pull a stunt like that again.

"How the hell did you do that?" Maya asked, breathless.

"Sorry, I probably should refrain from doing that," she muttered under her breath, "Maya, I'm not the one to explain. Aaron knows who should be the one to do the explaining... Listen, I know you must be frustrated all of us are evading that question but please, just let it go. For now," she finished.

"Very well. Where do you plan on going shopping?"
"I know a place," and they sped off on the empty road.

Life Is Blissful

I can't believe my good fortune!! Alhamdulillah. I am thankful for all the Almighty has given me. I have an 80GB PS3 sitting in my living room, I got my PMR results on the beach -- and they were excellent -- and a pair of brand new Salomon sneaks -- which cost RM400++ but were on discount. 50%!! And they're gorgeous. Gorgeous her implying that they look awesome. Anyway, it was a deal simply to good for me to pass up. One last thing I'm adding to that list of 'good fortune'. Faiz, this is the answer to your question; a HP Mini 10001TU. I'm publishing this post from my brand new laptop!! YEEHAW!! I finally have my own laptop!! Faiz, I hope that answers your question.

And Dayana, don't believe what the locals say about Kellie's Castle being haunted. The only people haunting the place would be the Indian labourers who died during the outbreak of Spanish Influenza... A steaming pile of b.s. is all the locals are telling. Sure, there might be things at Kellie's Castle but they sure as hell ain't William Kellie-Smith or his relatives.

Anyway, school is starting soon. Very soon. I'm happy I got 'A' for Science and Math. I'm not sure whether I'm going to pick up Add Math. I don't really feel like it. But I will consult my parents. They know better.

Really miss everyone. Oh, and tomorrow show up to get SPBT books and to know what stream/class you'll be going to. Yes, the Form 1 Orientation Day is also tomorrow but that's what Pn. Zana told me... Even Datin said it... So please, show up. I'm not sure why it wasn't announced on Tuesday or if it was, why no one heard it but that's not important.

Anywho, just to post that. Happy New Year everyone and good luck for Form 4. Arif, is 4 Epsilon the top class?

2 Weeks Have Gone By...

Bonjour everyone. It's been ages since I lasted published a post. So many things have been happening but first I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!

Now, to explain myself; My mom came back from Canada after 10 weeks on Dec 21st, a Sunday. Then on Monday afternoon, we went out to KLCC to buy my bro's gift for jumping from #24 to # 7. He had been asking for a PS3 for some time now so voila, the 80GB version is sitting in the living room as we speak. It's really fun!! So my bro and I have been playing with it. On Dec 28th, a week after my mom got back, we left for Taiping, because my mom wanted to see her parents and all. She missed Hari Raya Eid il Adha. We also decided to go to the Swiss Gardens Damai Laut in Lumut for our vacation. Unfortunately, the news came out on Saturday night that the results will be results were to be released on Tuesday, 30th Dec. I was rather sad but I knew that I would get my results. I could only pray that they were good.

We spent one night in Taiping and then headed for Lumut on Monday. On the 2nd day of our stay, we decided to go to the beach. While sitting around watching my bro attempt to build a sand castle, i got an sms; my fellow form 3's have gotten their results. I had promised to call my girl to congratulate her and so I did. Unfortunately, she didn't know my results but it was ok. It was good being able to talk to her for about 20 minutes and my parents not really complaining. I heard Faiz got 7A's so I called to congratulate him -- 7A's is still an achievement -- and I ended up finding out my results. It was pretty neat, finding out on a beach. I'll admit, I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get straight A's. I got 7A's and 1B -- B for Agama -- but my parents seemed overjoyed so I guess I was in safe waters.

The stay there was fun. I tried my hand at paintball (target shooting), played beach volleyball and basketball barefooted with my dad. The four of us are apparently not so bad at shooting. Hehe. Watch out people, you got a family of assasins. Muahaha. We also played a bit of pool. Hehe. It was fun. The food was OK. The egg chef however was iffy. The quality of the eggs were... inconsistent. But otherwise, we had a great time. Except for the fact that one of the other guests accidentally dinged my dad's CRV...

Anyway, the trip back was the longest I have ever had coming back from Perak. We left at 12, and arrived in BJ at 6. We had stopped by Kellie's Castle and it's not haunted. No one died in the uncompleted Scotsman's palace. It's just the Malaysian attitude that 'memandai-mandai' so to speak. They say that the spirit of 6 year old Helen (Kellie's daughter) wanders around. She lived to be past 21. Don't believe what they locals say. Most are out of whack. It's just a story of some sorry Scotsman who wanted to bring his wife to live in then-Malaya. He built for his wife because the first house was too hot. That's all. It is our people who over-sensationalize it.

But all in all, Kellie's Castle is fun. And tiring. Oh, and his full name is actually William Kellie-Smith. He died in Lisbon, Portugal of Pneumonia at the age of 56. He was on his way to collect the elevator for Kellie's Castle. If it was completed, Kellie's Castle would have the first elevator in Malaya. His first house was called Kellas House and the castle was built because the room temperature in Kellas House was between 95-97 degrees farenheit and it was too hot for his beloved wife. Kellie's Castle is quite a structure, I'll admit. But historical documentation is lacking and the locals are making up superstitious b.s. about Kellie's Caslte.

Anyway, that about summarizes what I've been doing the past 2 weeks.

By the way, I'm still getting that laptop I wanted. Muahaha.
