What an Eventful Weekend it Has Been

In the morning, we headed out and parked in SACC, crossed over to PKNS to pick up my dad's passport & then we walked to Plaza Alam Sentral because my bro needed his Tunas KRS uniform. Hope we got that one right... Hehe.

Anyway, on the way back, we decided to browse at this two stalls that were beside one another. One sold the pocket knives, compasses, flashlights, etc. The other sold custom-made jewellery. You pick and arrange how you want it, pick the strap and then decide whether you want it as a necklace, phone key chain, bracelet, etc. My bro and my mom were busy deciding and arranging their names and what they they wanted. While waiting for the guy to do both, my dad & I resumed browsing the other stall. I've always enjoyed looking at pocket knives. I don't know why. Guess its one of those things you want but don't realize you want. Strange, huh?

When my bro's and my mom's respective decorations were done, they came over and just watched us browse. Guess my mom knows me better than I know myself. She said, "go ahead, get it. I think the green one is nice," and I settled on a small, green, pocket knife. YAAY! My first ever pocket knife! Hehe. And my dad bought a compass he'd been eyeing. My whole fam was like, "C'mon Abah. You want it. It's OK. Everyone's getting someting...". You could hook it to your belt loop and man was it solid. Oh, and it points north. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but a lot of the other compasses that we saw didn't point north. Wonder if one of them was Jack Sparrow's compass... Damn, should've gotten that one. Hehe.

Afterwards, we went to Alamanda, Putrajaya. We arrived around lunchtime so we had lunch at Noodle Station -- I'm never going there again. The service is so and so and my mom got food poisoning from that place. Anyway, my mom had gone scouting earlier in the week for some shoes so after lunch, we swung by Nichii and my mom browsed a bit and settled on a pair of shoes. They're quite nice. Strappy and finesse. So happened that we have been looking for some outdoor furniture for a while now and we saw this really neat set of 2 chairs and 1 table. It was really cheap. Only 3 grand. And it was super light. So my parents bought 2 sets.

While they were settling the transaction, I went to the nearby Al-Ikhsan just to check out and see if they had any rugby boots. To my amazement they had THREE rugby boots! I was completely dumbfounded. It is very difficult to find real rugby boots in Malaysia. The boots only have 6 studs and the studs are made out of metal. Other boots can work but the studs have to be long and sort of cylindrical. Otherwise, they'd be useless during a scrum so soccer boots are not advisable. Especially if you're on the forward. Nevermind the rugby talk, back to the story. As I said, there were three separate models. Two were Umbro, one was Adidas. The Adidas was RM318! Most likely 'coz they were the 'World Cup' version. Whatever the hell that means. The other two cost within the RM100-200 range. I tried all three. The Adidas & one of the Umbro models only had size 8 1/2 and the last model only had sizes 9 & 10. It was a bit frustrating, yes but hey, at least I tried, right?

Then we did our weekly grocery and Cold Storage. I never get tired of Cold Storage. Its awesome. Feels like home. The food I mean. We came back late so we went back out for dinner at a gas station just off NKVE -- yeah, yeah, I know, a GAS STATION?! But hey, I didn't drop dead right? After dinner, we went to Mutiara Damansara for a small errand and FINALLY came back home for good. I've taken my shower now I'm wrapping up this post.

Au revoir
